S H O PP I N G  


S H O PP I N G  is the title of a cluster of practice-led, or practice conscious, research activities undertaken by a group primarily interested in the value of interior space expressed through its recent historical status, current significance and future potential.

At the end of November 2024, Patrick Macklin is presenting a paper on vacancy titled 'SHOPPING' at 'Practice', the Interior Educators (IE) annual conference, hosted by The Department of Architecture and Built Environment (ABE) at Northumbria University.

On 30 January 2025 S H O PP I N G will launch their show Work in Progress in a shop unit on Sauchiehall Street, on exhibition from 31 January to 13 February 2025 (Tuesdays-Thursdays, 12:00-5:00pm)

Opening at Edward House


S H O PP I N G  is a work in progress from a School of Design research cluster at the Glasgow School of Art. Alongside material created by cluster members, work featured here also includes examples of parallel student projects from the postgraduate and undergraduate Interior Design studios at GSA.
